Yes that’s right, we are offering limited places starting July 22nd in Crewe*, so if you are over 19** and looking to gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to start your career in Health and Social Care, then register your interest below before to speak to one of the team.

For Jobseekers and in low employment we offer courses full-time, with training delivered face-to-face in locations that have easy access to public transport. Monday to Friday (9.45am-4.15pm), with one-to-one support provided by a Skills Coach.

At the end of the course, you will have a guaranteed interview with one of the employers we are working closely with to develop career pathways for individuals who would like to progress into public/private health sectors or the NHS.

You will achieve accredited as well as non-accredited qualifications and gain the technical skills required for jobs that are in demand by employers.

The course opens the door to a range of local Health and Social Care employers with opportunities to work as care workers and in domiciliary job roles (more information to follow). Their benefits may include:

  • Introduction to Care.
  • Guaranteed Interview with Employer, with ‘Meet the Employer’ Session in Advance.
  • CV and Interview Preparation.
  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid.
  • Level 3 Understanding Mental Health Problems.
  • Level 3 Understand Duty of Care.
  • Level 3 Principles of Communication in Social Care Settings.
  • Level 3 How to Handle Information in Social Care Settings.
  • Moving and Assisting individuals.
  • Continence, Medication & Safeguarding Awareness.
  • Oliver McGowan training.
  • Open to any adult turned over the age of 19 on 31 August 2023.
  • Resident in Cheshire*
  • Have lived in England for at least the last 3 consecutive years, and have the Right to Work in the U.K (there are exceptions for Ukraine and Afghanistan nationals).
  • Be committed for the full duration of the course.
  • Not already enrolled on a funded course.
  • Have not completed another Skills Bootcamp within the last 12 months.

Individuals on Jobseeker’s Allowance can claim their travelling expenses from their local Job Centres and are invited to discuss their attendance with their Work Coaches. For more information, read our FAQ section.
